What is a plant? All plants are many celled and most contain the green pigment chlorophyll, which enables them to make their own food.

Cell walls surround plant cells and provide structure. Most plants have roots or rootlike structures that hold them in the ground. As a result, most plants do not move around.

Plants are made up of eukaryotic cells.
