The often used expression that "humans only use 10% of their brains" is false! While we may not use our brains as efficiently as we might, there's no evidence we have vast unused abilities. At any given time about 5% of the neurons are active. But all the parts do something, and over time you use pretty much all of your brain, just as most people use all of their muscles to some degree.
