Questions about the Class and Me
Q:
First, who is Mrs. Vilenski and what is this Life Science Class about?
A:
My name is Jennifer Vilenski. I am a 7th Grade Life Science Teacher at Roger Ludlowe Middle School in Fairfield, CT. I have the opportunity to teach an exciting class about life - what it is and how it is maintained.
Q:
Okay, I get that, but how does the Web site fit in?
A:
This site connects the parents and students of my classes to the activities in their classrooms. Also, sections like Life Science Safari and Human Body Adventure provide fun ways for students to explore science beyond my classroom.

Within my classroom, students use my Web site to help with their research on my Human Body System Project. My suggested links help them focus on age appropriate sites. Also, I periodically use the links found in my Web site to run demos, show videos and images to make learning both interactive and fresh.

Q:
How can I contact you?
A:
Besides calling me at school, you may submit my Contact Form. I would love to hear from you!
Questions About Grades
Q:
I have a question about my child's grades.
A:
First, check the Class Information Section. All of my grading policies and procedures are listed there. If you have a question that you can't find answered, contact me .
Questions about the Web Site
Q:
How long have you been doing this site?
A:
This site has been live since March 7, 1999. Of course, the site back then looked nothing like what it does today!
Q:
How did you build this web site and do you have any suggestions about how I can build my own?
A:
This is probably my most frequently asked question I get e-mailed about so I built a one-page tutorial to help get you started.
Q:
What were your sources for the graphics, photos and sounds?
A:
Q:
For a project that I am working on, can I use some of the graphics/sounds/videos that are on your site?
A:

Sure. I have no problem with you using anything you need on my Web site, for educational purposes (translation: not for $$$). A few of the graphics are from Art Explosion Clip Art Collection (which I own) and the rest are either custom made by me or are already in the public domain (as far as I know).

When you complete your project, could you send me the URL? I’d love to see what you do and perhaps maybe I’ll learn something that I can use in my classroom.

Good luck on your project!

Q:
Can I put a link to your site from mine?
A:
That would be great! Please visit link information.
